AL Co-sponsors Successful Tirana B2B event for Businesses from Corridor
Region
AATDA AL joined with the Albanian American Chamber of Commerce and
the Foreign Investors Trade Associate (FITA) to host a Business
to Business meeting in Tirana on July 17. The trio of Albanian organizations
teamed with Kosovo Business Support (KBS), the Macedonian Business
Resource Center (MBRC) and the FLAG project of Bulgaria, with funding
from KBS (USAID). Over 100 firms participated from Albania, along
with 50 from Macedonia, 50 from Kosovo, and 50 from Montenegro,
and a smaller number from Bulgaria. Firms represented the tourism,
construction materials, cosmetics, textiles and other industries.
Company representatives established business contacts with businesses
from neighboring countries, exchanged information and began negotiations
for cooperation, trade and investment. The event was widely covered
by Albanian television, radio and press.
Based on the success of the meeting, two additional B2B events are
being scheduled in the near future for Macedonia and Serbia. Plans
call for expanding the invitations to other countries in the region
ranging from Slovenia to Turkey. We will announce details of these
B2B event as soon as they are announced.
