AATDA Albania Wins Grant for Corporate Governance Project

Gafur Luga, Executive Director of the AATDA AL, announced in November that a grant was received from the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) to carry out  corporate governance related activities.  The project is designed to promote understanding and implementation of corporate governance principles within Albania's private sector, government institutions and civil society,  and raise public awareness of the risks of poor corporate governance and its widespread negative consequences such as corruption, political instability and reform stagnation.  The program, to be carried out over the next year, will also foster public debate on crucial areas for reform.  Activities will include research, advocacy, education seminars and workshops.
